A little about us
Myren Camping's history goes back to the early 1960's, when fishers began to settle down where the camping is today. The estate was the property of famely Myren, and it was Marit who got the idea to arrange the place even more suitable for fishers. It began with a campsite, and soon the cabins came as well. In the 1960's and 70's Driva was one of Norway's best trout and salmon rivers, and the anglers came year after year. Myren Camping had become a pleasant trade for Marit Myren.
In the years that have passed since then, Myren Camping has been the place for both regular customers and casual guests seeking a room for the night. At Myren Camping, they know they are welcome, either in a tent, caravan or one of the many cabins. And not least with hygienic toilets and washing conditions.
Today, Myren Camping consists of 7 cabins. All nicely fit out with 2 to 5 beds, including cooking possibilities. In the height of the season the camp is expanded with 2 caravans. Apart from that, there is plenty of space for putting up your tent or your own caravan. Driva is still an attractive trout river, attracting anglers from many countries.
At the moment, Halldis Myren Torve runs the camp. Halldis welcomes guests through the whole season, which lasts from Pentecost to early September, though most other times of the year can also be arranged.
